ImpactFull's Changemaker Camp (CC) launches Summer 2025 at Cornet Bay Sanctuary on Whidbey Island, with future dates and locations around the world.
Designed as a “VACATION WITH PURPOSE,” CC offers play workshops that are thoughtful and strategic, along with creativity sessions, nature immersion, and a wide range of recreational pursuits to enchant mind, body, and muse. Hands, hearts, and minds will be engaged with sound baths, forest walks, impact haiku, imagination meditations, and an impact origin story workshop, to name a few. Join a trip to town and explore local art, taste craft brews, and throw some clay on a potter’s wheel. Curated activities are complemented by spacious hours of unplanned time to relax and unwind.
Delivering “happiness that lingers” starts with group and individual community-building that kicks off in the weeks prior to camp. Then, as CC alumni, every camper becomes part of a PlayGroup and enjoys six-months of 1x1 and small group facilitated fun, learning, and support.
How to give this gift to your valued nonprofit partners:
Specifically designed for nonprofits in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California, our inaugural Changemaker Camps will take place between July 1 and October 1 on Whidbey Island, just north of Seattle. The camp offers three nights and four days filled with nature and nurture, fun and play, cause and community
By sponsoring this “vacation with purpose,” funders can give frontline changemakers the gift of inner peace and community they need during these uncertain times. Review your grants portfolio to identify leaders who'd benefit from a curriculum centered on provocative joy, strategic play, and global social justice.
How to Invest:
$40,000 "Books the Week" for 4 nonprofit leaders (smaller groups and solo registrations also available)
Let’s discuss how we can design and deliver this gift of pause, purpose, and play to those protecting democracy and civil society. Reach out to determine suitable dates and let’s get busy designing a getaway that can change the world!
why?
Nonprofit work has always been a labor of love — and a tough balancing act. With 71% of nonprofit professionals reporting feelings of overwhelm and 64% citing lack of self-care as a major contributor to their stress, we know their well-being affects the well-being of us all. After all, these are the people solving society’s biggest problems.
And while there was a surge in funding for employee wellness programs early in the pandemic, it quickly plateaued. Only 42% of nonprofits reported receiving funding specifically for employee wellness programs in 2022, down from 71% in 2020. Today it is again far less.
On the flipside, organizations that prioritize employee well-being see improved job satisfaction (85%), increased productivity (78%), and reduced turnover rates (74%).
why now?
Today, in a world beset by compounding crises – all laid at the feet of the social sector – nonprofit leaders need more than money to do their work. They need the energy and peace of mind to do it well.
Indeed, reports of increased stress and overwhelm plaguing nonprofit leaders feel as pressing as reports of their budgets being slashed and their tax status being challenged.
To counter the “flooding” strategy being employed by the architects of Project 2025 to exhaust and dishearten our advocates, activists, and allies, we need a tsunami-size counter-wave of goodwill, joy, and resiliency.
